Registration & Accreditation Criteria

The Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA) has developed a Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) for the TVET sector in line with international norms with a view to enhance quality of training in Mauritius.

In this context the public is hereby informed that the Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) is effective as from 1st July 2018.

  1. All new Training Institutions applying as from 01 July 2018 should adhere to the QAF.
  2. All Training Institutions currently registered are granted one year moratorium period up to 30 June 2019 to adhere to the QAF as from 1st July 2018. Registered Training Institutions are also advised to start preparing the self-assessment report as per section 3.0 of the QAF document.
  3. Approval of Courses and Accreditation of Programmes will be granted till the expiry date of the registration of Training Institution as from 01 July 2018. For all subsequent applications, Registration/Approval/Accreditation will be granted up to the expiry date of registration of the Training Institution.
  4. For any application for Authorization of Change, a processing fee of Rs 1000/- will be applicable as from 15th October 2021.
